Students will be able to
  1. Plan a photo slideshow demonstrating understanding of good health tips for younger students.
  2. Use only original photos that you or other students in the class have taken. Plan the photos. Be a photo editor.
  3. Crop photos according to the "rule of thirds".
  4. Upload all photos to the designated Flickr account. Ask for the user name and password.
  5. Login to Animoto using the designated username and password.
  6. Upload the photos to Animoto, add a title slide, add a caption for each photo, add music.
  7. Publish the work after receiving approval from Mrs. Carrier and Miss Casanas.
  8. Add a link of the slideshow to this wiki page.

Assignment
You will create a slideshow explaining the important Guidelines for Good Health.
Planning:
  1. Each student must create a wiki page for notes and terms that you will use in the slideshow.
  2. In Groups decide on the health topic to research.
  3. Research information about the health topics. put the notes on your wiki page.
Complete the following Planning Map on your wiki page:

Photography in groups:
  1. You will plan, set up, take and edit the photos as needed to complete your message.
  2. The slideshow will include 5-8 original photos taken by your group.
  3. Share the slides so each individual can create their own slideshow.
Create the slideshow:
  1. Each student will use Animoto.com to create the online slideshow. Select an appropriate template on Animoto. Place the photos in the correct order to tell your story. Select music from Animoto. Add appropriate captions in English and Spanish for each of the photos.
  2. Name the slideshow appropriately and add a description of the slideshow.
  3. Check the work with Mrs. Carrier and Mrs. Casaas when finished
  4. Do not publish until you have permission to publish.
  5. Each of you must add the URL of your slideshow to your wiki page.
Upload photos
  1. Decide which of the photos your group will use for your slideshow. You are required to use the ICS logo somewhere in the slideshow.
  2. As a group, decide which photos to use.
  3. Upload photo either into pixlr.com online or into the Paint program on your computer to crop and/or improve the photo. Crop each photo using the rule of thirds to determine the most effective presentation of the image. You might also use Fotor to create collages of photos.
  4. Login to Animoto The account information and password will be provided by Mrs. Carrier. Do not use your own email address.
  5. Select a template that is appropriate for your topic. Upload your slides. Add a title slide. Make sure the slides are in the correct order. Add a caption for each image that adds a deeper understanding of the message. Select music for the slideshow that is appropriate for your topic. The slideshow must be 8-10 slides long in total including at least 5 photos slides in length.
  6. In Animoto rite a brief description of the slideshow. Give it an appropriate title providing additional meaning for the story.
  7. Let Mrs. Carrier view it before you publish it.
  8. Include a link to your slideshow on Animoto on a wiki page that you create page at the bottom. Copy the description from Animoto to add to the wiki page with the link to your slideshow.
